The Journal of Civil Aviation
The Journal of Civil Aviation (JCivilAvia) is a peer-reviewed academic outlet dedicated to advancing knowledge about civil aviation. It aims to achieve this by publishing original and cutting-edge works discussing research and research methods, as well as policies, practices, training, and education in the field of aviation. Moreover, JCivilAvia regularly publishes editorials and commentaries from expert aviators and researchers to further enhance understanding of aviation as a thriving field of study.
In particular, JCivilAvia encourages researchers and aviation experts to submit their manuscripts related mainly, but not only, to the following topics:
Aviation Psychology and Human Factors;
Aviation Medicine;
Safety and Safety Management Systems (SMS);
Training and Technology,
Engineering,
Accident and Incident Reports;
Operations and Management.
JCivilAvia accepts manuscripts in English and Turkish.
However, while the journal’s main focus is on research, we recognize the importance of knowledge dissemination to the general public. For this reason, the JCivilAvia’s website features a news section to make the world of aviation, its history, and its latest developments more accessible to a wider audience. Each news article can be read into two modes: a "standard" one, whereby the reader can scroll and read through the text, and the "Captain's Eyes" mode, whereby the reader can choose to display a technical commentary, layered on the article itself, written by experienced pilots, scholars, or experts in aviation. With "Captain's Eyes", the Journal of Civil Aviation aims to offer readers the expertise of individuals from within the aviation world and their perspectives on its most significant news, stories, and anecdotes.
