About the Journal
The Journal of Civil Aviation (JCivilAvia) is dedicated to publication of original work in research, research methods, and program evaluation in the field of aviation. The Journal also regularly publishes editorials and commentaries. The mission of the Journal is to advance aviation research, policy, practice, training and education.
The goals of both the online and the print versions of the Journal, published biannually by the ELBA Aviation Institute of Antalya Bilim University are
To publish the best scientific research in the field of aviation,
To serve as a forum for diverse viewpoints on major aviation issues and policies,
To promote diverse practice models,
To increase professional understanding of problems and their solutions in aviation, and
To work in concert with the main aviation authorities.
QUALITY PEER REVIEW
Reviewed papers usually receive careful scrutiny by 2 or 3 reviewers and additional assessment by the responsible associate editor, deputy editor, and editor-in-chief. Initial screening results in rejection of the majority of manuscripts within 2 weeks to 30 days of submission. For those papers that are selected for review, the time to first decision is about 2-3 months. Overall time from submission to acceptance, which includes revisions by the authors, is about 4 months.
